Sharjah Hamriyah Independent Power Company (SHIPCO) and GE marked the successful 'first fire' of the second H-class gas turbine at the 1.8 GW Hamriyah Independent Power Plant in Sharjah, UAE. The plant is the first independent combined cycle power plant in Sharjah.

GE begins installing HA gas turbines at Hamriyah power plant in UAE
GE announced that installation and commissioning of the first two of three 9HA.01 gas turbines has begun at the 1.8 GW Hamriyah Independent Power Plant in the UAE. GE will supply the turbines and provide 25 years of repair and maintenance services.
