Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions received orders from Codelco for AutoMine automation systems and connected load and haul equipment valued at US$43 million for use at the El Teniente mine in Chile. The contract runs from 2022 to 2027.

Glencore procured Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions to supply and install an AutoMine solution at the George Fisher Mine near Mount Isa, Queensland. Six Sandvik LH517i underground loaders have been deployed for automated load and dump cycles, enabling 24/7 operation.

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions was awarded a contract from BHP for the Jansen Potash project in Saskatchewan, Canada, valued at approximately SEK 2 billion. The contract covers underground mining equipment and automation solutions, with delivery expected from Q3 2023 to 2026.

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions won a C$18.5 million ($14.5 million) order from Newcrest Mining for surface mining equipment, including two Sandvik Leopard DI650i and two Sandvik DR412i drills, for the Red Chris copper-gold mine in British Columbia. Delivery is scheduled for Q4 2021.

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions and LKAB will collaborate on a 12-month test of battery-electric vehicles Sandvik TH550B truck and LH518 loader at LKAB's Kiruna iron ore mine as part of the SUM project.

Tapojärvi and Yara selected Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions to supply six Pantera DP1600i drill rigs with Top Hammer XL technology for Yara's Siilinjärvi mine in Finland, as part of a 10-year strategic alliance starting January 1, 2022.

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions will supply 19 units of high-tech mining equipment, including LHDs, ADTs, drill rigs, and bolters, to De Beers for the Venetia Underground Project in South Africa.
