MetalX and Commonwealth Rolled Products signed a definitive agreement to form a strategic partnership, with MetalX and the Rifkin family making a meaningful investment in Commonwealth. The partnership aims to advance integrated and sustainable aluminum solutions.

Commonwealth Rolled Products Inc. will invest over $167 million in its Lewisport aluminium rolling factory in Kentucky, including new equipment and facility modifications to modernize the plant for automotive and industrial clients.

Commonwealth Rolled Products Inc. will invest over $167 million in its Lewisport, Kentucky aluminum rolling mill, creating 40 full-time jobs. The project includes new equipment and building upgrades, expected to begin in early 2022 and be completed by early 2024.

Novelis Inc., wholly owned subsidiary of Hindalco Industries, has completed the acquisition of Ohio-based Aleris for an enterprise value of $2.8 billion. The deal includes 13 plants across North America, Europe and Asia, with required divestitures of plants in Lewisport, Kentucky and Duffel, Belgium.
