Kabelny Alliance announced a RUB 1 billion investment over three years to expand production at the Elektrokabel plant in Kolchugino, Vladimir region. The expansion will increase capacity for medium and high voltage cables by 1.5 times and add new product lines.

Elektrokabel, part of UMMC's Cable Alliance, installed a new 16-ton overhead crane and plans to install a second inclined cable insulation line at its Kolchugino plant, investing over 320 million rubles to expand production of medium and high voltage cables up to 110 kV.

From the beginning of 2020, Kolchugin Elektrokabel invested about 250 million rubles to modernize extrusion lines in shop No. 4, replacing main units to increase speed by 20% to 2000 meters per minute. The plant also plans a new line for medium and high voltage cables up to 110 kV, with total investment of 3 billion rubles.
