BENEO completed an EUR 11 million investment in a gas turbine and heat recovery boiler at its Oreye facility in Belgium. The system allows the plant to produce 5 additional megawatts per year and become a net exporter of energy, cutting specific carbon emissions by 40%.

Beneo is investing €50 million to expand its rice starch facility in Wijgmaal, Belgium. The two-phase expansion will increase capacity by about 50% by March 2022 and create up to 20 new jobs.
