Tatenergo

Enka, in partnership with General Electric, won a tender from Tatenergo to modernize a power unit at Zainsk GRES. The contract is valued at 37.5 billion rubles (including VAT) and involves building a combined-cycle gas turbine unit with a capacity of 858.3 MW, to be completed by November 30, 2023.

Tatenergo plans to replace 11 old power units at Zainskaya GRES with two Siemens gas turbines of 593 MW each, at a cost of 66.5 billion rubles, with construction taking four years.

Siemens announced plans to increase localization of gas turbine production in Russia to 100% by 2024-2025, up from 62% currently, through its joint venture Siemens Gas Turbine Technologies in the Leningrad Region.
