Russian steelmaker Severstal acquired the production and warehouse complex of Dmitrovsky Metal Center in Moscow Region on October 5, 2026, strengthening its pipe business and expanding distribution and processing services.
Severstal has agreed to buy a Korean compressor for its Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works, with first deliveries scheduled for autumn 2019. The investment exceeds 500 million rubles and aims to cut electricity consumption.
Severstal selected Hanwha Techwin as supplier of electric compressors for the Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works, with assembly and commissioning included. The project costs 900 million rubles and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2018.
