Alnylam Pharmaceuticals and Sharp agreed that Sharp's Hamont-Achel site in Belgium will package all Alnylam products across European countries. Alnylam describes it as its first significant international investment in Belgium.

Sharp invested £1 million to expand its Rhymney, Wales facility into commercial primary and secondary packaging, adding packaging rooms, blistering equipment and automated cartoners. Commercial blister production at the site was set to begin in June 2020.

US packaging materials and equipment provider Shorr Packaging moved into a new facility in the Los Angeles area to meet growing regional demand. It will serve customers in the Inland Empire, Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties.
