Tokai Carbon Co. Ltd.

Tokai Carbon and COBEX HoldCo have agreed to acquire Carbone Savoie from Alandia Industries and other shareholders for approximately ¥19.7 billion. Tokai Carbon will take a 70% stake and COBEX a 30% stake, making Carbone Savoie a consolidated subsidiary of Tokai Carbon.

Funds advised by Triton have signed an agreement to sell COBEX, a manufacturer of carbon and graphite products for the aluminum and iron industries, to Tokai Carbon Co., Ltd. for an enterprise value of EUR 825 million.

Tokai Carbon Co. Ltd. has entered into an agreement to acquire Fort Worth-based Sid Richardson Carbon Ltd. and its affiliate companies in a transaction valued at about $308 million. Sid Richardson Carbon is the largest carbon black producer in the United States.
