A consortium of Elsewedy Electric and Siemens Energy signed a SAR5.3 billion ($1.4 billion) energy conversion agreement with Saudi Electricity Company and Saudi Power Procurement Company for the expansion of the Rabigh 1 power plant. The 1,200 MW CCGT plant is located near Jeddah and includes carbon capture readiness.
