Entergy Mississippi closed its purchase of the 810-megawatt Choctaw County Generating Station, a combined-cycle natural gas turbine plant in French Camp, Mississippi, for $314 million. The plant will employ 27 people.

Platinum Equity has acquired Green Bay, Wisconsin-based WS Packaging Group, a labels and packaging solutions provider, from J.W. Childs Associates; no financial terms were disclosed.
