Siemens Energy was selected to provide engineering, procurement and construction for a battery-based black-start generation system at the 720-MW Marsh Landing Generating Station near Antioch, California, owned by NRG Energy and operated by Clearway Energy.

Platinum Equity has acquired Green Bay, Wisconsin-based WS Packaging Group, a labels and packaging solutions provider, from J.W. Childs Associates; no financial terms were disclosed.

Ice Energy, in partnership with NRG Energy, will start installing up to 1,800 Ice Bear 30 ice battery systems on commercial and industrial buildings in Orange County, California, under a 25.6 MW storage contract with Southern California Edison. The installations are part of SCE's 250 MW energy storage procurement.
