Etex

Eternit, a subsidiary of Belgian company Etex, inaugurated a new production plant in La Matanza, Argentina. The investment was 250 million pesos, increasing production capacity by 50% and creating 50 new jobs, with potential for exports.

France's Imerys is selling its roof tiles business, expected to be valued at around €1 billion, with private equity firms Cinven, Lone Star, and Carlyle bidding. Final round bids are due in about three weeks.

Etex, a Belgian industrial group, has acquired the outstanding 59.31% of shares of Pladur Gypsum for €90.4m, gaining full control of the Spanish plasterboard manufacturer.
