GI Industrial Holdings launched a new range of R410A heat pumps under its Clint brand, developed in collaboration with Fujitsu General. The Thermica units range from 6kW to 10kW and are based on a 2017 agreement between the two companies.

Fujitsu General Limited will start marketing in North America on August 25, 2020, the first HVAC systems jointly developed with its U.S. partner Rheem. The products include four models of mini-split outdoor units by Fujitsu General and indoor units by Rheem, targeting the residential air conditioner market.

Atlantic Climatisation & Ventilation, a subsidiary of Atlantic Group, became the exclusive distributor of Fujitsu General's General brand products in France as of January 1, 2020, expanding its air conditioning offering.

Fujitsu General (Thailand) will launch a new factory (FACTORY-2) in the same industrial estate as its current factory, starting operation on October 2, 2019. The company plans to invest approx. 8 billion yen by FY2021 to increase total production capacity to 3.4 million units annually by FY2022.

Fujitsu General and GI Holding have launched an inverter-controlled air handling unit, the first product from their 2017 collaboration. The unit pairs Fujitsu's Airstage VRF heat pump condensing units with GIH's AHU.

Fujitsu General signed an agreement to invest INR 510 million (approx. JPY 867 million) for a 52% stake in ABS Aircon Engineers, an HVAC contractor in India, to expand its commercial air conditioner business.

Fujitsu General, the Japanese air-conditioner maker, plans to invest $200 million to set up a manufacturing facility in India, likely in Andhra Pradesh or Telangana. The facility will have an initial capacity of 10 lakh units per year.

Fujitsu General has combined its VRF system with Ventacity's heat recovery ventilation system as a packaged HVAC solution for the US market, and has invested in Ventacity via its US subsidiary.

Fujitsu General and Italian air conditioner manufacturer G.I. Holding S.p.A. signed a basic agreement for a comprehensive tie-up including joint development of commercial air conditioners for overseas markets, particularly Europe.
