Mayekawa has expanded its CIVAC industrial city plant in Morelos with an investment of more than US$80 million, creating what it calls the world's largest factory dedicated to industrial compressors. The plant already employs about 450 people and exports 90% of its output.
Mayekawa USA has been awarded a contract by CHI Engineering, an NV5 company, to supply a 500 HP oil-injected MYCOM screw compressor package for a boil-off gas application. The package will be manufactured in Katy, Texas, for petrochemical and refinery use.
