Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS) has been selected by Danskammer Energy to supply the M501JAC gas turbine for repowering the Danskammer Energy Facility in Newburgh, NY. The new combined-cycle facility will generate approximately 535 MW and cost over $400 million.

Tiger Infrastructure to acquire Danskammer Generation Station from Mercuria
Tiger Infrastructure Partners signed an agreement to acquire Danskammer Energy, LLC, owner of the 500 MW Danskammer gas-fired power plant near Newburgh, New York, from Mercuria Energy Group. The acquisition is expected to close in 2017.
