Swiss-based packaging solutions business SAPAL SA acquired French company SMP*, a food packaging specialist with expertise in cheese packaging machines. The acquisition strengthens SAPAL's position in the processed cheese market.

Robert Bosch GmbH sold its subsidiary Sapal SA, a Swiss manufacturer of packaging machinery for the food industry, to the Munich-based Navigator Group. The transaction closed in December 2017.

Navigator Group is acquiring Sapal S.A., a Swiss packaging machine manufacturer, from Bosch Packaging Technology. The deal secures long-term prospects for 80 employees; purchase price undisclosed.
