ATS Automation Tooling Systems received a $65 million order from Tessy Plastics to design, build and deliver two automated manufacturing systems for COVID-19 test kit components, enabling production of 10 million units per month.

Tessy Plastics plans a $12 million expansion of its south plant in Elbridge, New York, adding 100,000 square feet and creating 40 jobs, tied to a contract for a medical device assembly. Total 2020 investment is $20 million with 60 new jobs.

Tessy Plastics Corp. is expanding cleanrooms at its Skaneateles and Elbridge facilities in Upstate New York. The Skaneateles cleanroom will grow by about 15,000 square feet to a total of 36,000 square feet, and the Elbridge East plant cleanroom is also being expanded to service new medical programs.

Tessy Plastics will invest $9.2 million to expand its manufacturing operation in Lynchburg, Virginia, to accommodate a new product line, creating 34 new jobs.

Tessy Plastics formally opened a 260,000-square-foot expansion at its plant in Van Buren, New York, a $31.6 million project. The company has already hired 203 new full-time employees, supported by $13.5 million in state incentives.
