Aptar Closures celebrated the grand opening of Gulf Closures, a beverage closures maker in Bahrain it acquired a majority stake in during March 2023. An expansion of the site, with 10 new production lines, is expected to be completed in December 2024.

Aptar opened a 5,000 square meter facility in Chonburi, Thailand, with injection, assembly and finishing capabilities and room for expansion. The opening was reported on 11 March 2020.

Aptar entered into a binding agreement to acquire Fusion Packaging I, L.P. (FusionPKG), a Dallas-based maker of prestige airless and color cosmetics packaging for the North American beauty market. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and the value was not disclosed.

Wendel granted Aptar Group exclusivity to finalize the sale of CSP Technologies, a specialty protective packaging maker, at an enterprise value of $555 million, about 13 times adjusted EBITDA. Closing is expected in Q4 2018.

Valvoline chose Aptar to supply closure and packaging technology, including its BAP technology, for a new five-liter Easy Pour motor oil bottle for DIY users.
