Waelzholz Group

Waelzholz is expanding its New Material facility in Taicang, China, by adding 10,000 square meters of production space and new equipment including a four-high rolling mill, slitting line, and oscillator. The expansion will double production capacity.

The Waelzholz Group acquired all shares of Friedr. Gustav Theis Kaltwalzwerke GmbH, a manufacturer of carbon, alloyed and stainless strips and profiles. The acquisition was approved by antitrust authorities on July 6, 2017, and expands Waelzholz's cold-rolled steel business with an annual sales volume of over 70,000 tons.
