Buzzi Unicem

Buzzi Unicem has signed an agreement to acquire a 50% stake in BCPAR SA, a subsidiary of Brennand Cimentos, including two integrated cement plants in Paraíba and Minas Gerais, Brazil. The initial outlay is BRL 700 million (approx. EUR 150 million), with closing expected by 31 December 2018.

Dyckerhoff, owned by Buzzi-Unicem, has announced the acquisition of independent German cement producer Portland Zement Seibel und Söhne GmbH & Co for an estimated EUR 35 million.

Buzzi Unicem acquired 50% of Ecotrade SpA, a company specializing in supply and recycling of industrial waste and byproducts for cement production.

Buzzi Unicem signed an agreement to buy 100% of Italian cement peer Cementizillo for a fixed amount of €60 million plus over 450,000 Buzzi shares worth about €10.2 million, with additional payments up to €21 million. A 47.9% stake was acquired for €22.6 million, with the remainder to be taken over in July 2017.
