Xella Group

Xella Group and Cementeria Costantinopoli agreed to merge their Italian autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) activities, combining Xella Italia with Atella's Doc Airconcrete. The deal is expected to close in July 2019.

Xella has commissioned LB to supply a new dry mortar production plant for installation at the Ytong facility in Istanbul. The agreement was signed in June 2018.

Construction of a Ytong factory has started in Tbilisi, Georgia, with a joint investment of 50 million GEL by Partnership Fund, Archi Group and Xella Group. The factory will open next year, employ over 200 people and produce 160,000 cubic meters of aerated concrete blocks annually.

Holcim signed a binding agreement to acquire Xella, a German walling systems specialist, for €1.85 billion ($2.15 billion). Xella has net sales of about €1 billion and 4,000 employees across 21 European markets.

Xella Bulgaria, manufacturer of Ytong concrete and Multipor mineral insulation boards, announced an investment of nearly 1 million leva in its plant in Dobrich, which produces Multipor and Ytong.
