Hero Motors

Hero Motors Company acquired a strategic stake in UK-based transmission design technology firm Hewland Engineering for an undisclosed sum, announced on January 18, 2021.

Munjal Kiriu Industries, a joint venture between Hero Motors Company and Kiriu Corporation, commissioned the first phase of a new machining plant in Mandal, Gujarat, with an investment of ₹150 crore. The plant has an installed capacity of 1,500 tonnes per month for ventilated discs and drums for OEMs.

Hero Motors and Hewland formed a joint venture on May 4, 2017, to provide high-volume, high-quality powertrain solutions for OEMs, combining Hewland's transmission design and UK manufacturing with Hero Motors' mass manufacturing capabilities.

Hero Motors and Hewland Engineering have formed a joint venture, Hero Hewland Ltd, located in Maidenhead, UK, to provide powertrain solutions to automotive OEMs, recreational vehicles, and electric vehicles.
