PHP Fibers GmbH

Thailand-based Indorama Ventures agreed to acquire German firm Invista Resins and Fibers, including its Gersthofen value-added PET manufacturing facility.

Indorama Ventures (IVL) acquired a 74% share of Egypt-based PET preforms maker Medco Plast, which has annual capacity of 70,000 metric tonnes. The deal was reported on 15 November 2018.

Toyobo Europe GmbH will transfer its European Breathair operations to PHP Fibers GmbH, a joint venture of Toyobo and Indorama Ventures, effective September 1, 2017.

PHP Fibers will open a state-of-the-art airbag fabric weaving and finishing plant at its German production site in Obernburg, using technology from Toyobo Co., Ltd.
