TOMRA Sorting Food

Aviko Group and SnowValley Agricultural Group, through their joint venture Aviko SnowValley, are building a new french fry processing facility in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, China. The €151 million plant will have an annual capacity of 150,000 tons and is expected to be completed by September 2018.

Tomra Sorting Food delivered the world's highest capacity steam peeler, the Eco steam peeler, to a leading potato processing company. It can peel 650 kg of potatoes in less than seven seconds and process over 65,000 kg per hour.

Mrs. Gerry's Kitchen, a salad and side dish manufacturer in Albert Lea, Minnesota, has completed its ninth expansion, including the installation of a TOMRA Orbit 350 steam peeling line, to expand its 'Ready to Eat Refrigerated Entrees' production.
