Sonaca S.A.

Solvay, along with Belgian aerospace companies Asco Industries, Coexpair, Feronyl, Sabca, Safran Aero Boosters, Sonaca, and Thales Belgium, signed a cooperation agreement with Lockheed Martin to foster research and innovation in advanced composite materials for aerospace. The agreement was signed on October 23, 2019.

Sonaca reached an agreement to acquire 51% of the aerostructures activities of Aciturri Aerostructures, forming a new European aerospace leader.

Sonaca doubled production capacity at its Romania site with a new 14,000 sqm facility and plans to recruit 160 additional employees.

Sonaca Group signed a contract with Otto Aerospace to develop the Phantom 3500, a next-generation business jet.

LMI Aerospace Inc. shareholders approved the merger agreement for Sonaca Group's acquisition of LMI for $14 per share in cash. The transaction is expected to close by the end of June 2017.

Belgian company Sonaca inaugurated a factory in Moldovenesti, Cluj county, to produce components for the Airbus A320. The investment was EUR 11.8 million, creating 200 jobs.

LMI Aerospace has entered into a merger agreement with Sonaca S.A. for $14 per share in an all-cash transaction, a 63% premium. The acquisition is subject to CFIUS clearance.
