Canam Group

FabSouth, a subsidiary of Canam Group, acquired all structural steel fabrication assets from Commercial Metals Company, including plants in Taylors, South Carolina, and Waco and Victoria, Texas.

Canam Group Inc. won a contract to supply steel joists and other components for Ikea's new 1 million sq. ft. distribution centre in Beauharnois, Quebec, and a new store in Quebec City. Deliveries for the warehouse start December 2017 and run through March 2018.

A group of investors led by the Dutil family, including American Industrial Partners, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, and Fonds de solidarité FTQ, completed the acquisition of Canam Group Inc. for approximately $875 million, including assumption of debt. The transaction closed on June 30, 2017.

Canam Group has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by a group of investors led by the Dutil family and American Industrial Partners for $12.30 per share, representing an enterprise value of approximately $875 million.

Canam Group Inc. won a contract to supply and erect steel for two new overpasses on Highway 407 East in Oshawa, Ontario. The contract includes 1,690 tons of steel and structural bearings; the value was not disclosed.
