Region Västerbotten awarded Siemens Healthcare AB a contract for skeletal and lung X-ray equipment valued at 15,000,000 SEK. The contract runs from June 2023 to June 2025.

The Indian government approved applications from Siemens Healthcare, Sahajanand Medical Technologies, Nipro India Corporation, and Wipro GE Healthcare under the PLI scheme for medical devices, with a total committed investment of ₹729.63 crore and expected employment for 2,304 people. Commercial production is projected to start from April 1, 2022.
