Werfen

Werfen opened a new building at its Hemostasis and Acute Care Diagnostics Technology Center in Bedford, Massachusetts, adding 105,000 square feet with an investment of over $50 million. The expansion increases capacity for research, development and manufacturing of specialized diagnostics.

Werfen announced it has agreed to acquire Immucor, Inc. from TPG for approximately US$2 billion. Immucor is a privately held diagnostics company headquartered in Norcross, Georgia. The transaction is expected to close during the first half of 2023.

Werfen and its subsidiary Instrumentation Laboratory acquired all shares of Accriva Diagnostics, a point-of-care diagnostic company. The transaction closed on January 19, 2017. Accriva will operate from its San Diego facility.
