Donau Chemie AG

Donau Chemie Group acquired a 70% stake in Italian chemical company Unichimica, which operates two sites in Vicenza province and specializes in chemicals for food, water treatment, textiles, machinery, and tanning.

Messer Austria and Donau Chemie have partnered to capture CO2 from Donau Chemie's calcium carbide production in Landeck, Austria. Messer will invest a double-digit million euro amount to purify the CO2 to food grade and liquefy it for transport, reducing transport distances by about one million km per year.

Donau Chemie AG was awarded a contract by Zweckverband Abwasserverband Kempten (Allgäu) for the supply of iron(III) chloride solution, valued at EUR 365,750.
