Iberfoil has invested over €70 million since 2014 at its Sabiñánigo plant in Spain, including €48 million in the Iberfoil Integra project for scrap recovery and green aluminium production. The plant processes 60,000 tonnes of aluminium per year and employs 160 people.
Iberfoil is developing the Iberfoil Integra project, a new production plant on a 45,000 square metre site adjacent to its existing factory in Sabiñánigo, Spain. The plant will have five aluminium recycling furnaces and two continuous casting lines, producing 30,000 tons of green aluminium coils per year. Test production is scheduled to start in September 2023.
Iberfoil, a subsidiary of Grupo Alibérico, selected Acontebro to build a new 10,000 m² factory with 1,000 m² of offices on a 43,000 m² plot adjacent to its existing plant in Sabiñánigo, Huesca, Spain. The project, called Iberfoil Integra, involves an investment of €42.3 million and will create 115 direct and 400 indirect jobs.
Iberfoil inaugurated the expansion of its factory in Sabiñánigo, Spain, with a new cold-rolling mill that triples production capacity to 60,000 tons per year from 20,000 tons. The investment was 15 million euros.
