China CAMC Engineering signed a $66.4 million contract with a Suez-Veolia joint venture to build a water purification plant in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with a daily capacity of 500,000 tons of water.

The Sinomach (Zhuhai) Robotic Engineering Center (REC), a 4 billion-yuan ($626 million) partnership project between China National Machinery Industry Corp (Sinomach) and United Faith Group, is being built at the National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone in Zhuhai. ABB Robotics (Zhuhai) will begin robot assembly, testing, and integration in October 2018.

China's State Council approved the merger of China National Machinery Industry Corporation (Sinomach) and China Hi-Tech Group Corporation. The textile conglomerate becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinomach.

Amkodor and China National Machinery Industry Corporation (Sinomach) plan to discuss creating a joint venture in April 2017 in China to produce excavators and bulldozers. They also consider acquiring a license for Sinomach machinery with high localization for markets in Belarus, Russia, and other countries.
