Vanderlande

Vanderlande has been awarded a contract to upgrade the baggage handling system at Brussels Airport, part of a 20-year framework agreement signed in March 2019. The contract value was not disclosed.

Vanderlande and Edeka Südwest Fleisch signed a contract to expand the existing logistics system at the Edeka distribution center in Rheinstetten, Germany, doubling capacity to handle increased product volume.

Vanderlande opened a new manufacturing and distribution center in Acworth, Ga., on June 28, 2017, with the facility fully operational since June 19. The investment aims to reduce lead times and costs for North American customers, and will employ 80-100 people at full capacity.

Toyota Industries Corporation completed the acquisition of LiftCapital Corporation, a Canadian sales financing company for lift truck dealers, effective May 1, 2017. The acquired entity will be renamed Toyota Industries Commercial Finance Canada, Inc.

Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO) signed an agreement to acquire Vanderlande, a global leader in logistic process automation for airports and parcel services, from NPM Capital. The transaction is expected to close in Q2 2017.
