PET preform maker SGT Group of Rezé, France, announced its acquisition of Axium Packaging, a Saint-Étienne injection and blow molding firm with 385 employees and production in France, the Czech Republic, Italy and Germany.

Trioworld Group signed an agreement on June 25, 2024 to acquire Sopal SAS, owner of French food packaging companies Palamy and Beaudet et René Jean Emballage (BRJ), through a purchase of all shares. The deal is subject to closing conditions and French regulatory approvals.

Greif entered exclusive negotiations to acquire IPACKCHEM Group SAS, a maker of jerrycans and small plastic containers, from an affiliate of SK Capital Partners in a cash deal valued at $538 million. Closing is expected by the end of Greif's second quarter of fiscal 2024, subject to French consultation and regulatory clearances.

Pacur, a Gryphon Investors portfolio company, signed a definitive agreement to acquire CAROLEX SAS, a French PETG sheet extruder, from epsotech Holding GmbH. The deal is expected to close by year end 2021 and terms were not disclosed.

SK Capital Partners, LP completed its previously announced acquisition of IPACKCHEM Group SAS, a Paris-headquartered supplier of barrier packaging for crop protection and specialty chemicals. The deal value was not disclosed.

The Pusterla 1880 group finalized the acquisition of the Adine Group, which includes box maker Adine, printer Chiffoleau and plastic thermoformer Thermoform, in France. The deal aims to strengthen its luxury packaging offer.

Cosmetic packaging group Texen took over the flexible packaging business of plastic packaging maker PRP Creation of Oyonnax, France, in February 2022.

Indorama Ventures has agreed to acquire Sorepla Industrie S.A., a French plastics recycler with a combined capacity of 52,000 tonnes per year and 58 employees. The deal expands its food-grade rPET supply in Europe.
