Greif, Inc. completed its acquisition of Ipackchem Group SAS, a maker of plastic jerrycans and small containers, from SK Capital Partners and other shareholders for approximately $540 million in cash. The deal was announced October 31, 2023.
Greif entered exclusive negotiations to acquire IPACKCHEM Group SAS, a maker of jerrycans and small plastic containers, from an affiliate of SK Capital Partners in a cash deal valued at $538 million. Closing is expected by the end of Greif's second quarter of fiscal 2024, subject to French consultation and regulatory clearances.
IPACKCHEM, backed by SK Capital, acquired a majority stake in TPG Plastics from Beaconhouse Capital Management. IPACKCHEM plans to support TPG's expansion and bring its in-mould fluorination technology to North America.
SK Capital Partners, LP completed its previously announced acquisition of IPACKCHEM Group SAS, a Paris-headquartered supplier of barrier packaging for crop protection and specialty chemicals. The deal value was not disclosed.
