Soldatal, parent of SDT Air, signed a sale agreement to acquire the machining production unit of the FES Technology Centre in Ripoll, Girona. The site adds 1,400 m2 of plant space for SDT Air's capacity expansion.

Austrian packaging maker Alpla acquired Spanish HDPE recycling companies Suminco and Replacal, entering HDPE recycling. Alpla has set aside EUR 50 million for its recycling expansion; the deal value was not stated.

Under an agreement signed 2 September 2019, DOpla SpA took control of Eurovending Group, including Spanish tableware makers Nupik and Sky Paper, and Art Plast, a Polish distributor, as part of a reorganization with FLO SpA.

Paccor acquired a majority stake in EDV Packaging, a Barcelona-founded maker of high-barrier rigid plastic packaging for food, with founders keeping a minority stake. DC Advisory was exclusive financial advisor to the shareholders. The deal was signed and completed in July 2019.

Print finishing equipment makers AB Graphic International and Kocher+Beck have jointly acquired Spanish labeling and packaging equipment maker Enprom Packaging. The deal was announced July 1, 2019, and no value was given.

Aurelius Equity Opportunities agreed to sell Solidus Solutions, a European producer of fibre-based packaging, to Centerbridge Partners at an enterprise value of about 330 million euros ($375.6 million), announced on 28 June 2019.

Italian Interpump agreed to buy 100% of Fluinox, a Valencia-based maker of processing equipment for food, cosmetic, chemical and pharmaceutical industries, for at least 11.15 million euros including the agreed price and the box value.

UK packaging group DS Smith acquired Europac, a Spanish corrugated cardboard packaging company headquartered in Alcobendas, Madrid, on January 22, 2019.

The European Commission conditionally approved DS Smith's acquisition of Spanish packaging maker Europac on 14 November 2018, after DS Smith agreed to sell Europac's Ovar plant in Portugal and two Normandy plants.

DS Smith has notified the European Commission of its planned purchase of Spanish corrugated packaging provider Europac. The deal is under EU merger review with a deadline of October 29, 2018.

US packaging group Sonoco acquired the remaining 70% stake in Conitex from Texpack, giving it 100% of Conitex, the parent of Papertech in Tudela, Spain. The deal is valued at EUR 123 million and was notified to Spain's CNMC on 27 August 2018.

DS Smith has announced its acquisition of Spanish-listed integrated packaging company Europac in a £1.45 billion deal, which it plans to finance by raising £1 billion in new shares plus a new debt facility. The deal is friendly but subject to CNMV approval.

Aurelius Equity Opportunities completed its acquisition of Abelan Board Industrial S.L., a Southern European producer of core board and solid board packaging, effective January 31, 2018. Abelan will be combined with Aurelius portfolio company Solidus Solutions.

Heroux-Devtek agreed to acquire Compania Espanola de Sistemas Aeronauticos (CESA), a Madrid-based Airbus subsidiary making landing gear, actuation and hydraulic systems, for an enterprise value of EUR 140 million.

Mespack, a Duravant subsidiary making flexible packaging machinery, acquired Barcelona-based SR Innova, which makes secondary packaging and end-of-line machinery. The deal was announced on August 8, 2017; the value was not disclosed.

German rigid plastic packaging manufacturer Jokey Group acquired Treplas, an injection molding company based in Molina del Segura, Murcia, Spain, to strengthen its position in the Iberian Peninsula. The deal was announced in May 2017.

Europac Group bought two companies holding an integrated corrugated packaging plant in Lucena, Córdoba, Spain, at an enterprise value of €9.8 million. The plant had 2016 sales of €7.6 million and will operate as Europac Packaging Lucena, with a planned €10 million investment and 25 direct jobs.

Interpump Group acquired 100 percent of Inoxpa Group, a Spanish maker of process equipment and flow-handling systems for food, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, for EUR 90 million. Inoxpa had fiscal 2016 sales of nearly EUR 60 million.
