Hasen Technology (Nantong), a subsidiary of Indicor Group, opened its manufacturing facility in the Nantong National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone on 5 December 2024, with a goal of making 200,000 valves annually.

Jiaxing Gaxi Bera Compressor plans to build two refrigerator compressor production lines at its existing Wangdian site in Jiaxing, adding 6 million units a year, under a CNY 105.65 million investment. The local environmental authority published its draft environmental approval notice on 18 July 2024.

Xinlei Compressor plans a future factory in the eastern new district of Wenling, Zhejiang, with total investment of about 1.2 billion yuan, to produce 800,000 small air compressors, 65,000 screw compressors, 3,000 centrifugal blowers and heat pump units annually.

HANSEN signed a framework agreement on March 12, 2024 with the Nantong High-tech Zone government in Jiangsu to set up a manufacturing plant. The plant is in fitting-out, with production and shipments expected in the third quarter of 2024, starting with 52 bar valves for refrigeration.

Aux Group's project to build a smart air-conditioning compressor plant with annual capacity of 30 million units in Wuhu, Anhui, was launched at a provincial start-of-construction event. Total investment is about 5 billion yuan, with completion expected in March 2025 and 3,000 jobs created.

Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning's subsidiary Johnson Controls-Hitachi Wanbao Compressor (Guangzhou) signed the main terms of an investment contract with Conghua district for a scroll compressor project planned at about 100 mu of land, with investment of RMB 480 million.

Embraco, a Nidec Global Appliance brand, began high-volume production of NEX and VEH compressors at its Beijing factory. The company invested US$5.7 million to set up the production line.

AUX Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Wuhu Economic and Technological Development Zone to settle a project producing 30 million compressors annually in Wuhu, Anhui, China.

Toyota Industries Electric Air Conditioning Compressor (Kunshan) raised capital by RMB 560 million to build a second phase producing electric air-conditioning compressors for new energy vehicles. The expansion is expected to add 1.2 million units of capacity.

A signing ceremony was held for a German Baohua compressor project in the Taicang Port Economic and Technological Development Zone, with a total investment of US$10 million. The plant is expected to produce 10,000 compressors a year once at full capacity.

Bingshan Refrigeration announced plans to acquire 60% of Panasonic Compressor from Sanyo Electric and 55% of Panasonic Refrigeration for a combined cash price of RMB 1.011 billion, giving it full ownership of both.

Highly Marelli's Wuhu plant in Anhui province, China, has begun operation after its first mass-produced heat exchanger rolled off the line on 20 June 2022. The plant will produce HVAC units and heat exchangers for new energy vehicles, with annual capacity of 800,000 HVAC units and 7 million heat exchangers.

China United Engineering won the phase one design contract for Huayi Compressor's upgrade and expansion project in Jingzhou, Hubei. The project aims to add 4 million compressors of annual capacity, building toward 10 million.

Jiaxi Bella Compressor is building phase one of a production line in Jiaxing's Nanhu District, Zhejiang, for refrigerator and EV air-conditioning compressors and inverter controllers. The project has a reported investment of 300 million yuan and a construction period from Q4 2021 to Q4 2022.

Hanon Systems is launching a new plant in Hubei, China, to manufacture HVAC modules for electrified vehicles, with about 6,000 square meters of space. Production is expected to begin in early 2023 and create about 100 local jobs.

UFI Filters Group signed an agreement with the JiaXing XiuZhou High-Technology Industrial Park Administrative Committee for a new plant in Zhejiang Province producing filtration systems and thermal management products for new energy vehicles. The investment is valued at around 25 million euros, and production is set to start in 2023.

German compressor maker Bitzer is establishing a joint venture in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu, to manufacture small-capacity rotary compressors in a 90,000 m2 plant under construction, with production planned for the first half of 2022.

Gaxi Bella broke ground on a smart compressor project in Nanhu District, Jiaxing, Zhejiang, on 30 October 2021. The RMB 1.3 billion project will produce 20 million high-end refrigerator compressors and 1 million new energy vehicle air-conditioning compressors per year.

ENEXIO Cooling Systems (China), owned by MVM Group, signed a EUR 16 million contract with Inner Mongolia Electric Power Construction Group to supply Heller dry cooling for a new 2x1000MW coal-fired power plant in Inner Mongolia. The signing took place on 11 May 2021.

Jiangxi Datong Refrigeration Equipment plans a compressor project in Jiujiang Economic and Technological Development Zone with a total investment of 160 million yuan, producing 2 million units per year on two production lines in about 13,000 square metres of leased space.

Guangzhou Wanbao Compressor held a groundbreaking for a refrigerator compressor factory in Conghua district, Guangzhou, with about 1 billion yuan invested and capacity of 21 million units per year. Production is scheduled to start in October 2021.

Marelli and Highly International signed an agreement to create Highly Marelli Holdings, a joint venture focused on electrified compressors and HVAC, with legal closing planned for early January 2021.

Qingdao Wanbao Compressor Co. put into operation a technical upgrade for producing VK-series small high-efficiency variable-frequency refrigerator compressors in Qingdao West Coast New Area.
