EGA Leichtmetall

Emirates Global Aluminium announced a $170 million expansion of its EGA Leichtmetall subsidiary near Hannover, Germany, increasing recycling capacity more than six-fold. The new facility will add 110,000 tonnes/year of scrap sorting and 153,000 tonnes/year of melting and casting capacity, with first hot metal expected in 2028.

EGA Leichtmetall announced the construction of a new aluminium recycling plant near Hanover, Germany, with an investment of approximately EUR 145 million. The plant will add 110,000 tonnes per year of sorting capacity and 153,000 tonnes of melting and casting capacity, creating 200 direct jobs. First hot metal is expected in 2028.
