Blackburn Chemicals Limited opened a new £14m powder defoamer chemical plant in Blackburn, UK. The facility is expected to increase production capacity from 2,000 to 7,000 tonnes per year and is solar-powered.

Blackburn Chemicals unveiled a new self-funded factory at its Whitebirk Industrial Estate site on April 24, 2025, dedicated to power defoamers used in construction. The expansion creates a six-fold increase in production capabilities.
