Kevin Hunt has stepped down as President of ValvTechnologies following the Severn Group acquisition. Chad Bowers, previously Director of Manufacturing, takes the role of President.

Severn Group, a UK family of specialist valve companies, has acquired Houston-based ValvTechnologies, a maker of metal-seated, zero-leakage severe-service valves. ValvTechnologies will keep operational independence within the group. The deal was announced on 6 November 2021.

ValvTechnologies and Severn Glocon agreed a partnership to combine capabilities in severe-service valves, subject to U.S. regulatory approval. The partnership is backed by private equity firm Bluewater.
