Amphenol Corporation has agreed to acquire CommScope's Outdoor Wireless Networks and Distributed Antenna Systems businesses for $2.1 billion in cash. The acquired businesses are expected to have 2024 sales of approximately $1.2 billion.

CommScope is preparing a $30.3 million expansion of its fiber optic cable-manufacturing plant in Catawba, North Carolina, which is already the largest hybrid-fiber-coax facility for broadband networks in the world.
