The Biden-Harris Administration announced preliminary terms with TSMC for up to $6.6 billion in CHIPS Act direct funding to support TSMC's investment of more than $65 billion in three leading-edge semiconductor fabs in Phoenix, Arizona. TSMC is committing to build a third fab, creating approximately 6,000 direct manufacturing jobs and over 20,000 construction jobs.
