Tata Semiconductor Assembly and Test Pvt. Ltd. (TSAT) is establishing a semiconductor assembly and test facility in Jagiroad, Assam, with an investment of ₹27,000 crore. The facility will have a production capacity of up to 48 million chips per day and is expected to generate over 27,000 jobs.

Tata Semiconductor Assembly and Test Pvt Ltd will set up a semiconductor assembly and test unit in Morigaon, Assam, with an investment of Rs 27,000 crore (approx. $3.3 billion). The unit will have a capacity of 48 million units per day and use advanced packaging technologies including flip chip and ISIP.
