SMA Solar Technology AG

SMA is building a new production hall, the GIGAWATT Factory, on a 46,000-square-meter plot in Niestetal, which will nearly double production capacity from 21 GW to 40 GW for large-scale solar and storage systems starting 2025.

SMA Solar Technology AG is investing around €12 million by end of 2024 to expand PCB production lines at its Niestetal/Kassel site, adding 50 jobs. The expansion will support growing demand for solar and battery inverters.
