Franken Maxit Mauermörtel GmbH & Co. acquired the dry mortar and facade business of Saint-Gobain Weber GmbH in Germany, effective October 1, 2025, including eight Weber sites and about 400 employees, making Maxit one of the largest dry mortar producers in Germany.

Saint-Gobain is transferring its Weber dry mortars business to the joint venture Franken Maxit Mauermörtel GmbH & Co. KG, making it one of the largest dry mortar manufacturers in Germany, and integrating other construction chemicals brands under a unified organization.

Saint-Gobain is transferring its Weber GmbH dry mortars business to the joint venture Franken Maxit Mauermörtel GmbH & Co. KG (50% owned by Saint-Gobain) and integrating other construction chemicals brands (Weber, GCP, Chryso) in Germany. The transaction is expected to close by end-September 2025.
