Gunze is expanding its first medical plant (completion March 2025) and building a new R&D laboratory (start April 2025, ready September 2025) in Ayabe, Kyoto, as part of a 3.5 billion yen investment.

Gunze Limited will invest approximately 5.7 billion JPY to expand its Konan plant in Aichi, Japan, targeting completion by March 2025, to meet growing demand from medical device and semiconductor markets.

Gunze will invest approximately 18 billion yen to build a new medical factory (third factory) and expand R&D facilities at its Ayabe Plant in Kyoto Prefecture, targeting completion in February 2025.

Gunze Limited announced a 1.7 billion JPY investment to expand its Ayabe Plant in Japan, constructing a new building and facilities to increase production of medical devices such as absorbable reinforcement felt and artificial dermis. Completion is targeted for March 2025.
