Weidmann officially inaugurated its new Laminated Board Facility in Pojatno, Croatia on September 19, 2025. The facility adds 8,000 m² of production space and will create 40 new jobs.

Swiss company Weidmann Tecnología Eléctrica inaugurated a new plant in Saltillo, Coahuila, with an investment of $30 million. The facility, the largest Weidmann plant globally at 30,000 m², produces electrical transformer insulation and high-precision plastic parts for the medical sector, creating over 750 direct jobs.

Yash Highvoltage and Weidmann concluded an agency and distribution agreement for Oil Impregnated Paper bushings up to 245 kV and High Current bushings up to 25 kA in select European and North African markets.

Weidmann announced it will build a new Transformerboard production plant in China, covering 38,000 m², with completion expected in H2 2026. This brings total global capacity investments over the past 12 months to more than $220 million.

COMEM S.p.A. acquired all shares of Weidmann Technologies Deutschland GmbH from Weidmann Holding AG. Weidmann Technologies will be renamed COMEM Optocon GmbH. The transaction value was not disclosed.

Weidmann Group concluded the sale of its North American Diagnostic Laboratory business and InsuLogix monitoring product line to Megger Ltd on March 31, 2023.
