Nephron Nitrile

Shield Manufacturing and Nephron Nitrile announced a joint venture to produce personal protective equipment at Nephron's facility in West Columbia, South Carolina. The venture is expected to create over 500 jobs and produce 3 billion gloves at Nephron's factory.

Nephron Nitrile, an offshoot of Nephron Pharmaceuticals, opened a medical glove plant in West Columbia, South Carolina, with one manufacturing line operational and plans for 14 lines producing 2.1 billion gloves per year, employing 250 workers.
