Savannah Cement has signed a Sh37.8 billion ($300 million) deal with Chinese company Simona to build a clinker manufacturing plant and a cement factory in Mwingi North, Kitui County, Kenya. The cement plant will be completed within months, while the clinker unit will be completed in about two years.

Savannah Cement orders $300M production line from Sinoma International Engineering
Savannah Cement has ordered a US$300 million integrated clinker production line from Sinoma International Engineering for its Kitui plant in Kenya. The line will have a clinker production capacity of 8,000 tonnes per day.
