Toray Carbon Fibers Europe

Toray Industries is expanding its French subsidiary's carbon fiber production facilities at the Abidos plant, increasing annual capacity from 5,000 to 6,000 tonnes/year. Production is expected to start in 2025.

Toray Carbon Fibers Europe (Toray CFE) is investing €128 million to expand its Abidos site with a new 16,000 m² building housing a new production line and storage units. Capacity will increase from 5,200 to over 6,000 tonnes per year, creating 45 jobs. The project is expected to be completed in 2025.

Toray Industries decided to expand its French subsidiary Toray Carbon Fibers Europe S.A.'s production facilities at the Abidos plant, increasing annual capacity from 5,000 to 6,000 metric tons of regular tow medium- and high-modulus carbon fibers.

Toray Carbon Fibers Europe announced the creation of a sixth carbon fiber production line at its Abidos site in Lacq, France, with an investment of €100 million. The line is expected to create 50-60 jobs and start production in 2025.
